This Hardbord™ panel is hand-primed with Michael Harding's Non-Absorbent Acrylic Primer, a professional-grade ground. Unlike standard acrylic gesso, this primer keeps colors as rich and luminous as when they came off the palette, rather than drying flat or chalky. Applied in two coats over a rigid hardboard support, it gives a smooth, stable surface built to keep an oil painting's color and vibrancy intact for the long term.

To further protect your investment, the painting is varnished with a removable varnish in a beautiful satin sheen. This keeps the painting protected from dust, moisture, and UV damage over time, while the varnish can be safely removed and reapplied decades from now without disturbing the paint underneath—giving it a long, stable life as an heirloom piece
